DAY SIXTEEN & SEVENTEEN (03.21.13 & 03.22.13): MOVIES!

Wonderful movie night

Hitchcock!

Hitchcock!

Hello guys! Sorry I've been slacking in updating my blog.... Lol.. I am super behind ;D. Anyway, so many days mix together so I'm not sure if I should continue this Day one, Day two thing.. but who knows! This Thursday I went to watch the movie Hitchcock with my roommate Mitch, his girlfriend Tina, and Bailey. It was a great movie and I totally recommend it! I went to a theater in Trier called "Broadway," which my roommate describes as the hipster movie theater lol.. There is another bigger and more mainstream theater called Cinemax which I will have to try next time! I got some popcorn and a Kandi Malz duh! The popcorn comes in salty or sweet.. of course I chose salty, but it turned out to be way too salty to eat!! Oh & another thing! This little theater I went to had the most amazing invention ever... As you can see in my photo is a little bar that goes across the row where you can place your drinks & food.... GENIUS.. Why do our theaters not have it? Lol who knows.. Take notes Americans!! At least the theaters I've been to never have that kind of thing.

Friday my roommates invited me to dinner and a movie! Stefan cooked today, so Mitch & I decided to help out. They made me wear an apron so we could take photos lol.. My roommates actually cook better than I do! Anyway, on the menu was a vegetarian spaghetti and some wine! Later we watched 007 Skyfall, which was pretty good also! I don't know why I never watch movies, but it was nice to do so in a group! Sigh* I feel like I've been eating healthier and healthier. It's great.

It was cold out, but we tried to get some photos of the beautiful buildings in Trier. However, there was some kind of event going on today so we couldn't get interior photos! :*( So I will have to try again next time! It's so great living in such a historic city! Hopefully this will allow me to brush up on my photography skills that I don't have lol. I am thinking of investing in a new lens because this zooming lens is nothing compared to a prime one.... sigh* one day!

Finally I can show you guys my place! I enjoy living here and I'm slowly getting used to the way things are. I pretty much walk everywhere in town and use the bus system to get to further places. Trier is a little larger than Lawrence so just imagine! Today is SUNDAY and on Sunday's everything is pretty much closed... It sucks for me because I am used to things being open and closing early.. Had a debate today with my roommates of what we think of working on Sundays. To me, it is no problem because I like the option to go out and buy things and DO things that don't include staying home lol. However, I can see the pros and cons of working Sundays... I like that businesses choose different days of closing instead of everything closing Sunday.. But hey, I grew up like this so that's probably why I feel this way.. It is quite different and apparently most of Europe is like this! It takes some getting used to I suppose.
